Once people begin to feel at home at Autumn Ridge Church, they soon begin asking, “Where does God want me to serve?” An important part of Karen’s role as Pastor of Ministry Development is to help answer that question. Through helping people determine their spiritual gifts, personality style and interests, Karen guides them in discovering where and how they can serve and grow as they live out being followers of Christ. An important part of that growth for people is helping them connect with one of the many service and ministry opportunities available at Autumn Ridge. Karen has a passion for helping others grow in their faith, discover their spiritual gifts and develop a servant's heart as they connect with opportunities to serve that will strengthen them in their spiritual journey. Karen has been a member of the Pastoral Staff at Autumn Ridge since 1994, and has a ministry degree in counseling from Crossroads College. She and her husband Rick have two grown sons and one grandson. In her free time, Karen enjoys nature walks, bike riding, reading and sitting on a sunny beach.
