Dear Friends, Have you ever wondered what happened to the 12 tribes of Israel? Why were the Jews an independent nation in the Old Testament and living in subjection to Rome in the New? 2 Kings 17:7 says “All this took place because the Israelites had sinned against the Lord their God, who had brought them up out of Egypt from under the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. They worshiped other gods and followed the practice of the nations the Lord had driven out before them, as well as the practices that the kings of Israel had introduced.” (2 Kings 17:7-8)Affectionately in Christ, What does that have to do with us? We, too, live in disobedient times where God’s word is ignored or sidelined. We can learn a lot from Israel’s story as we focus on several of Israel’s kings from the books of 1-2 Kings. From Saul, the People’s King to Josiah the boy king, there are memorable characters and stories to help us trace God’s sovereign hand in Israel’s history. Join us as we look back at various kings to help us learn more about ourselves and our God. Registration is open all year. The Bible Study Leadership Team
