The second (identical) show on Friday March 23 has been arranged especially to be certain that there is an opportunity for Autumn Ridge Church guests.

Expert musicians, incredible singers and topnotch live entertainers, L’Angelus combines the best of Louisiana’s music traditions: cajun fiddle tunes for the dance crowd, saxophone driven swamp-pop, and New Orleans influenced R&B. The result is a live show that rolls along with what Michael Doucet of Beausoleil calls “the instrumental energy of a freight train that knows no boundaries.” And the band is all from one Louisiana family.
L’Angelus now performs as a dynamic high energy four piece band, featuring Katie, 27, Paige, 26, Johnny, 24, and Stephen, 22. They describe their sound as Louisiana roots, but still love to play the popular old rock and country and motown tunes - Americana music. Audiences across North America and Europe are drawn to the “joie de vivre” that radiates from the stage.
Selected in 2006 by Billboard Magazine from over 1,400 artists as one of 6 finalists in the Independent Music World Series, L’Angelus has been steadily gaining international attention. Two of their original compositions were featured in the nationwide PBS documentary on Louisiana’s Wetlands, Washing Away, narrated by Susan Sarandon. May of 2009 marked their first internationally televised concert, with an hour long interview and performance on EWTN’s “Life on the Rock”, where the group explored the influence that the Catholic culture of community celebrations has had on the development of Cajun and Irish music. On tour in Ireland this past summer, the trio of musicians were literally grabbed off the street to interview and perform live on the country’s two largest radio programs, RTE with Pat Kenny and BBC Radio Live.

For many of us, the music of artists like Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith has been the music of our Christian lives.
Beginning in 1982 when he accompanied Amy Grant on her acclaimed “Lead me on” world tour, Smith has taken the music world by storm. In 1990, he released Go West Young Man, as his first mainstream album. It featured his crossover hit "Place in This World." Change Your World (with number one adult contemporary hit "I Will Be Here for You") was released in 1992. Smith’s 1995 album I'll Lead You Home, and 1998 albums Live the Life and Christmastime continued the tradition of hit records.
In 1999, Smith released one of his most beautiful and poignant songs, "This Is Your Time,” a tribute to high school student Cassie Bernall, killed at Columbine. Smith performed at memorial services honoring the victims of this tragedy.
Smith released his first all instrumental album, Freedom, in 2000 and an all Christian music album, Worship, on September 11, 2001. His second instrumental album, Glory, was released in the fall of 2011.
Michael W. Smith was recognized by the Male Vocalist of the Year award at the GMA Music Awards in 2003.
Smith’s song "There She Stands", was inspired by the September 11, 2001 attacks.
His album, Healing Rain, was released in 2004. The title track rose to number one on the Radio & Records Charts. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.
Releases Stand (2006), It's a Wonderful Christmas (2007), A New Hallelujah (2008), and Wonder (2010) have continued Smith’s unprecedented string of successes.
