Family Camp 2013: August 3 - 9
THE RHYTHM OF A GREAT WEEK
Faith. Family. Fun
20 YEARS AGO A VISION WAS SET IN MOTION; A DREAM WHERE PEOPLE COULD EXPERIENCE GOD IN A NATURAL SETTING AND GET TO KNOW OTHERS FROM OUR CHURCH IN A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE.
Now in its 20th year, Family Camp offers the right blend of time away with family and friends, biblical teaching and recreation. Autumn Ridge Church partners with Fort Wilderness Ministries to create a week where you can get away with God, get to know others from Autumn Ridge, and do things you cannot or would not do at home. Fort Wilderness is located in Northeast Wisconsin near McNaughton and is surrounded by thousands of acres of state forests, many lakes and beautiful scenery.
Our Speaker at Family Camp

This year's speaker is Andy Kumpel. Andy grew up playing tennis and taught tennis professional before pursuing pastoral ministry. He has been on staff with Autumn Ridge Church for six years and currently serves the young adults of our congregation. He has been married to Cassie for 10 years. They enjoy traveling, giving birth to beautiful baby girls in the month of June and share a lifetime goal of visiting every U.S. National Park. His theme for the week will be Jesus: The Man Who Makes Miracles.
Lodging at Family Camp
Fort Wilderness provides many types of housing in various price ranges; from hotel/lodge like comfort to basic tent camping where you can prepare your own meals (but most prefer to enjoy the wonderful food Fort staff prepare.)

Food at Family Camp
Food at Family Camp is one part tradition to two parts wholesomeness. Fort staff and many volunteers work hard to provide you with delicious homemade meals made with fresh produce from mostly Wisconsin farmers.
The Campgrounds Coffee Shop offers campers quality coffee from a local roaster while other refreshing concoctions abound. Ice-cream from the Canteen makes a perfect afternoon treat or way to end your day.
Meal plans range from 'all meals provided' to 'campsite only' packages.
Activities at Family Camp

After morning biblical teaching and worship time, afternoons are free for playing around camp, unwinding with relaxed conversation, or reading a good book. Fort has plenty to keep you busy and plenty of places to retreat for quiet reflection.
