Discover the Joy of Serving

Serving Hand in Hand logo

Serving others brings joy for several reasons. For one, it brings joy because serving is an act of worship. That is, we express our love for God by serving Him. The act of serving also brings joy because it is a means of fulfilling God's purpose in our life by putting the skills, gifts and abilities He has given us to work. And serving brings joy because it transforms us; that is, as we serve other we grow spiritually.

Every one of us is gifted in some way to serve. Romans 12:2 tells us: "We have different gifts, according to the grace given us."

Discover How You Are Created to Serve

Each of us is uniquely made. We all have different combinations of spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personalities and life experiences that make us who we are that work together to prepare us to serve God. We believe there is a place to serve for every person who is part of Autumn Ridge Church - a place to serve that is just right for them. Discovering where you fit in is as easy as 1,2,3.

1. Take the S.H.A.P.E. Assessment

This assessment is an online tool that will help you discover your set off skills, gifts and talents. To learn more about how you have been uniquely shaped to serve in the church and community, take the S.H.A.P.E. assessment today!

2. Meet with Pastor Karen Foster

After taking the assessment, contact Karen Foster to talk over the results. Once you discover how you are gifted to serve, she will help you connect with a ministry opportunity that is right for you.

3. Get Involved

It is said that every journey begins with the first step. We've made taking that step to serve at Autumn Ridge easy. Simply browse the volunteer opportunities at the right and contact the person listed for that ministry. You can also stop by The Living Room at the church's lobby after any weekend service or contact Pastor Karen Foster

We want your serving experience to be a great one! Not only can it bring joy, but it is a good way to meet new people and form new friendships as you serve together hand in hand.
