In Jesus we have an example of true compassion, a love that reaches out to help those in need, regardless of what the cost may be to oneself. Compassion is not just a kind and empathetic thought which finds itself dismissed into inaction. Compassion is an active, moving, and driving principle in the lives of all Christians whose hearts are filled by it. As we follow our Master, may we imitate his compassion for the needy.
