Because we are a diverse gathering of believers in a diverse community, we have two distinct worship formats to choose from. The Adoration Worship service is led by the choir and orchestra; the Celebration Worship service is led by a band and praise team. However, both services are guided by our Worship Philosophy and Worship Core Values, providing an essential unity of spirit and purpose to both of these worship expressions.
The Adoration service is led by the choir and orchestra. (Membership at Autumn Ridge Church is not a requirement for participation in the worship ministry.)
Our weekly choir rehearsal is a time of spiritual and musical preparation to lead worship. The choir rehearses each Wednesday night in the sanctuary from 6:30-8:30 p.m. We worship, pray, study the Bible and prepare the lead the congregation in worship. As well as participating in the 9:00 service, the choir sings at special seasonal outreach events. If you would like more information about joining the choir, contact Bill Price.
The orchestra is open to anyone with experience playing an orchestral instrument. The orchestra is led by Bill Price and you may contact him for more information. If you enjoyed playing an instrument in high school, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can regain your last level of study. The orchestra adds a wonderful spirit of enthusiasm to our Adoration Service.
The Celebration service give us the opportunity to tell the ancient story of salvation in the musical language of our times. The Celebration service is led by the Worship Band and Praise Team. An audition is required for the Celebration teams, and we are always looking for experienced singers and musicians to join us.
If you are an experienced musician, either instrumental or vocal, and would like to audition for the Worship Ministry here at Autumn Ridge Church, you may download and print the Worship Ministries application form and drop it off at the church office OR fill out this online form through CCB (Vocalists or Worship Band). For further questions or more information about participating in the worship ministry of Autumn Ridge Church, email Mick Nichols.
Emmaus Service – Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Discipleship Hour - Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
In addition to the Celebration Service on Sunday mornings, Autumn Ridge Church also provides a contemporary Saturday Night service called the Emmaus Service. The name Emmaus refers to the Biblical story when the disciples met the Risen Christ on the Emmaus road. Our purpose on Saturday nights is to provide a service where we meet with Christ through worshiping the risen Lord together and partaking in communion every week. The three guiding mandates for this service are authenticity, community and variety.
The Emmaus Service is a family friendly service and families are encouraged to worship together during the worship hour from 5:30-6:40pm. At 7pm, we offer a discipleship hour during which classes are offered for all age groups. Nursery and childcare are offered both hours. For those staying for fellowship or the discipleship hour, we offer multiple food options to match any taste. First, in the Common Grounds Cafe, we offer a weekly meal prepared fresh by our wonderful kitchen staff. This is a great opportunity to fellowship with others over a fantastic meal. You may make a reservation by visiting the Emmaus Meals Options webpage. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. For those going to one of the classes during the discipleship hour, "Grab-n-Go" food options are also available in the Upper Grounds Cafe at a nominal cost.
If you have any questions about the Emmaus Service or would like more information on how you can serve, please do not hesitate to email Pastor Mick Nichols.
